Lives Worldwide
It’s been 15 years since the historical UN meeting, during which the 189 member nations developed and agreed upon eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). In that time, millions of lives have been positively affected as individuals around the world have worked to create a better, healthier, and safer world. More recently, 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have been implemented to continue the work of the previous initiative.
All of these goals involve the efforts of many individuals around the world and aim to have big impacts, as they seek to alleviate the biggest problems facing our global population: poverty, infectious diseases, gender equality, health care, and more. But within those masses are those who are personally making a difference and those who are finding their lives transformed.
Measuring the Impact
Millions of people have had their lives affected by the UN’s MDGs and SDGs. How has your life been personally impacted by these initiatives? Or, how has your group or organisation had a hand in implementing these goals?
We invite you to share your story with our MGD Monitor readers so that we can shine a spotlight on the positive work being done to add value to the lives of others.
We learn about the world through stories, and we’re inspired by the good work of others. Share your experience today.
